It includes diverse habitats, that include cypress swamps wet prairies and mangroves. Within these habitats and delicate ecosystems reside over 300 bird species, the Florida panther, and the West Indian manatee, all which are on the endangered list. The bottlenose dolphin, and over 27 different types of snakes and reptiles live in the everglades as well. Did you know that both alligators and crocodiles live in the everglades? Do you know the difference? Pine trees, marshes, sawgrass, bladderwort, cypress, mangrove trees, beautiful orchids, and other arial flowering plants make their home here too.
