"The Everglades is unique to Florida and it spans over two million acres across central and south Florida. It includes diverse habitats, that include cypress swamps wet prairies and mangroves. Within these habitats and delicate ecosystems reside over 300 bird species, the Florida panther, and the West Indian manatee, all which are on the endangered list. The bottlenose dolphin, and over 27 different types of snakes and reptiles live in the everglades as well. Did you know that both alligators and crocodiles live in the everglades? Taste of the Tropics: The Wild life of Wildlife
Do you know the difference? Pine trees, marshes, sawgrass, bladderwort, cypress, mangrove trees, beautiful orchids, and other arial flowering plants make their home here too. This 2-D and 3-D exhibition invites students to explore this subtropical wetland and “the wildlife of the wildlife”.
